Huntington Beach, CA – February 1st – Today, the America First conservative candidate in California’s 47th Congressional district, Amy Phan West, announced her broad support of cryptocurrency and her campaign’s willingness to accept bitcoin from supporters. During a period of record inflation and runaway government spending West supports crypto both as a protective measure against outrageous government spending and to cut wasteful redundancies in both the public and private sectors.

Amy Phan West stated, “Shib, Eth, Bitcoin or Doge – I support it all. The federal government continues to print money without an understanding that they are creating unrecoverable inflation, which hurts everyday working families who can afford it the least. I fully support cryptocurrency and the blockchain and believe it would be a disaster for the Biden administration to attempt to regulate the technology. The lack of regulation is one of the points that makes crypto and the blockchain so powerful and beneficial to Americans.”

West’s campaign also said it would accept crypto as a form of campaign contributions as a way to show more mainstream support for the currency.

“There are a multitude of applications for the blockchain. The government needs to stop fighting and embrace the technology in both the private and public sectors. We need to cut redundant, antiquated, bloated government bureaucracies, and blockchain can help us do just that while restoring trust in contracts and transactions.”
